Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics
For over 50 years, the University of Guelph has transformed students into leaders of the Canadian and global economies. In 2019, the U of G received a $21-million donation to boost the global reputation and impact of its business school, creating the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics (Lang School).
Located an hour outside of Toronto, the Lang School is dedicated to developing ethical and responsible business leaders who use business as a force for good. We are a proud champion of the United Nations (UN) Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) initiative. This global affiliation allows the School to offer unique, innovative and sustainably-focused business curricula that reflects the values of the UN.
The Lang School’s faculty conduct research across a wide spectrum of disciplines and industries, including the core business functions like accounting, finance and marketing, to the specialized disciplines of hospitality, food and real estate.
Through active and transformational learning, the School’s graduates leave with the unquestionable belief that they have the ability to positively impact society, socially and economically, building thriving communities and participating in purpose-driven work.
Our programs
The Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics offers a diverse range of specialized undergraduate and graduate programs.
With Lang’s Bachelor of Commerce program, students can choose from nine (9) specialized majors and minors, all of which feature a co-op option giving them a chance to customize learning to match specific career goals. The program includes majors in accounting, food and agricultural business, hospitality and tourism management, management, management economics and finance, marketing management, government economics and management, real estate and sport and event management.
The School offer a diverse range of graduate level programs at both the masters and doctoral level.
