Memorial University of Newfoundland
Faculty of Business Administration
Our mission at the Faculty of Business Administration at Memorial University of Newfoundland is to inspire students to be entrepreneurial and innovative. We guide students to aim for global success, to engage in scholarship with global and local relevance, and to serve as a catalyst for the success of organizations and individuals. Creating a culture of firsts, we have paved the way in Canadian business education by pioneering studies in business ethics, entrepreneurship, social enterprise, and co-operative education. We aim to continue this tradition and reinforce our position as a thought leader and champion of sustainability, innovation, inclusion, and prosperity all over the world.
Memorial has more than 18,500 students and 5,200 faculty and staff spread across four campuses. We have nearly 85,000 alumni throughout the world. Established as a living memorial to the Newfoundlanders who lost their lives in active service during the First and Second World Wars, Memorial strives for national and global impact while fulfilling our social mandate to provide access to university education for the people of the province, and to contribute to the social, cultural and economic development of our province and beyond.

Our city
Newfoundland and Labrador inspires us to dream big, and our people – as unique and enterprising as the province we call home – remind us of our responsibility to make a positive difference.
Located in the capital city of St. John’s, the easternmost city in Canada founded more than 400 years ago, Memorial University offers students a cosmopolitan and safe city known for its storied history and vibrant culture. Our city of 110,000+ is colorful and our province is full of possibilities. Living here makes those possibilities seem on the cusp of becoming reality. Studying here brings those possibilities within closer reach.
Why study here?
Because our students are the next generation of leaders, managers, entrepreneurs and social entrepreneurs, we leverage our connections and external partnerships so our students receive practical, hands-on experience that complements their classroom-based education and enriches their educational experience today to enhance or our world tomorrow.
Recognized as the most international faculty on campus, we are pleased to welcome more than 100 international students to our classrooms each year where they quickly become integrated into our dynamic learning environment. We also have a network of 40 partner institutions for international exchanges. Our students broaden their experience base while building lasting social networks through international case competitions like Enactus and the John Molson MBA International Case Competition. Our White Trading Lab connects students to real-time market information and business intelligence through Bloomberg technology and our students can invest real money in real companies by participating in The Fund.
