Our city
Founded in 1887 in Toronto, McMaster University has called Hamilton home since 1930. Only 45 minutes from Toronto, Hamilton is the ninth largest city in Canada and one of the top 10 places to do business in the country. McMaster’s main campus is home to the DeGroote School of Business and five other faculties, and is bordered by Cootes Paradise, the Royal Botanical Gardens and the shores of Lake Ontario. The campus is located in quaint Westdale Village and is close to Hamilton’s burgeoning waterfront and downtown core. Visitors will find DeGroote’s other campus, the Ron Joyce Centre, a short drive away in the thriving city of Burlington. Here, students are engaged in professional programs such as the EMBA, MBA, Blended Learning Part-time MBA, and executive programs.
