Shannon School of Business
Cape Breton University is proud to offer world-renowned programs through the Shannon School of Business (SSOB). The SSOB is a unique and specialized school for undergraduates and postgraduates to earn the degree they need to succeed. For example, the School is home to a 3-year tourism degree program (Bachelor of Hospitality and Tourism Management) and our legal studies option in the Bachelor of Business Administration is one of the few offered across the country.
Cape Breton University is currently undergoing a transformational phase in its development as campus buildings almost double in their presence and a medical school is introduced. The Shannon School of Business continues to play a big part of the University’s success by educating a majority of students who choose the University. We continue to innovate our programs and develop new and relevant areas of study so the Shannon School of Business will be a school of choice for years to come.
The Shannon School of Business (SSOB) offers the following programs:
Undergraduate:
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
- Bachelor of Hospitality and Tourism Management (BHTM)
BBA areas of study include: accounting, economics, finance, human resources, legal studies, marketing, supply chain management, tourism marketing and management.
Graduate:
- Master of Business Administration in Community Economic Development (MBA-CED)
Post Graduate:
- Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Business Analytics
- Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Business Management
- Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Health Care Management
- Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Supply Chain Management
Our city
Cape Breton University is located on Canada’s east coast on Canada’s most beautiful island – Cape Breton Island. Located in Mi’kma’ki, the unceded territory of the Mik’kmaw people, Cape Breton Island has deep roots in Indigenous cultures, among many others.
